How Ionpure® Works

Ionpure prevents the cultivation and growth of various dangerous organisms like bacteria, fungus and viruses.

When microbes, such as bacteria, mold, and mildew that can cause stains, odors, and product deterioration come into contact with the product surface, Ionpure penetrates the cell wall of the

microbe and disrupts key cell functions so that the microbe cannot function, grow, or reproduce. A powerful anti-microbial agent – Ionpure offers full, dependable protection.

Ionpure shows its efficacy as it comes into contact with moisture in the air. With the presence of moisture the glass matrix is gradually broken down and Ionpure’s silver ion is released. One of Ionpure’s unrivaled strengths is that its efficacy cannot be determined by how much Na is present.

As long as air moisture is present, the glass matrix will continue to gradually break down and release the silver ion.

Ionpure is very much antimicrobially effective against a wide range of bacteria. The combination of low migration rates versus high activity, generally provides antimicrobial efficiency over the entire life cycle of the organic substrate.
